Botanica Hall

From the team behind Canova Hall, Serata Hall and Martello Hall, Botanica Hall is breathing new life into the iconic Arding & Hobbs building in Battersea. On the corner of St Johnโ€™s Road and Lavender Hill, opposite Clapham Junction train station, the team has restored the 200-year-old department store back to its former glory.

Botanica Hall is an all-day restaurant and late-night bar serving coffee and breakfast by day while people hotdesk and delicious cocktails and coal-fired pizza by night. On the weekends, these guys also host a fabulous bottomless brunch - as voted by Grazia, Elle and CN Traveller. Evenings at the venue mirror Clapham Junctionโ€™s liveliness with DJs playing from the balcony until early hours on the weekends.

Their cocktail list is one of the best around and there is also a range of gins distilled in-house by the team. Having perfected their distilling skills with on-site gin distilleries at Serata Hall and Teatro Hall, the team have you covered. Head into the Urban Distillery & Tasting Room, which boasts a 200 litre copper still โ€œHenryโ€™ - they distill, bottle and wax seal their vodka by hand. Open seven days a week from early morning to 2.30am (Friday and Saturday), Botanica Hall will cater to your whole day.

Jaded by Ela Lee

Jade isn't even my real name. Jade began as my Starbucks name, because all children of immigrants have a Starbucks name.'

Jade has become everything she ever wanted to be.

Successful lawyer.

Dutiful daughter.

Beloved girlfriend.

Loyal friend.

She is perfectly in control of her life. Until one terrible night changes everything.

Caught between her parents who canโ€™t understand, her boyfriend who feels betrayed, and her job that expects silence, the world Jade has constructed starts to crumble.

This razor-sharp, darkly funny exploration of identity, consent and love will leave you asking yourself: what would you have done in Jadeโ€™s situation?
